Principals Encore Theatre Arts

All three trained at Pond-Grainger Performing Arts and whilst at this school were given the great opportunity of dancing at the London Palladium, Royal Albert Hall, Her Majesty’s Theatre, London, Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, New Victoria Theatre, Woking and Disneyland Paris. They have performed in the Touring and London Productions of Joseph and His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, and have participated in many Festivals and have gained a place at the All England Semi Finals.

Phillippa Woods BA (Hons) AIDTA

Phillippa took her majors at Riipley Dance Academy, she also studied for a BA(hons) degree in Dance at Chichester University.  She has been teaching for various schools for the last 8 years until finally coming to teach for Encore Theatre Arts, Chertsey. Phillippa is married to Des.

Jennifer Newman AIDTA

Jenny took her majors and her teaching qualification at Encore Theatre Arts. It was through her love of performing and wanting to inspire other children and adults that she decided to become a teacher.

Amanda Cassin BA (Hons) FDI ISTD, RSA, LIDTA

Became assistant teacher at Pond-Grainger Performing Arts in 2001.
She trained for her teaching qualifications in ISTD at Linda Sweetzer Teacher Training College Amanda is also a fully qualifed aerobics instructor, has a BA(hons) in Leisure Management and A levels in Dance and Theatre Studies.
Amanda is married to Damion and has three children, Ewan, Ciara and Aidan

Joanne Sherwood AIDTA

Joanne has trained for about 7 years in bellydancing, and has covered various elements of the dancing such as Turkish, Egypitian, Lebonase, Tribal, Gothic and Fusion, and teaches a varied mix - not one particular style.   She has performed for the Mayor of Ashford, in the Carnival Capers at Virginia Water, and has performed a various private functions and Hafla's.
Joanne has an A'level in theatre studies and trained in theatrical make-up with Brushstrokes in Shepperton Studios.  She has danced from the age of 3 and joined Encore as an adult tap student in 2006. 

Jade Wells

Jade is a trained singer and musician and studied Musical Theatre at Italia Conti Theatre school and has her Advanced 2 tap in ISTD.  She has a BADC certificate in Stage Fighting, and is grade 8 in singing, piano and grade 5 in tenor horn and music theory.  Jades theatre and tv credits include, Joseph and his Amazing Technicoloured Dreamcoat UK tour, Dick Wihittington Theatre Royal, Windsor, Richard III TIE tour and Avondale Theatre, Harry’s Web, Theatre Royal, Windsor, Variety Club at the London Palladium, Think Floyd at the Theatre Royal, Windsor, she has also danced on GMTV, Variety Performance for LWT and was a singer on Disney’s Circus Parade.
