Encore Theatre Arts dance and drama school was started in January 2006 and has successfully organised many public events and raised thousands of pounds for various charities. There are many dance classes available for babies through to Adults to help improve motor skills, co-ordination and above all to have fun.

Classes are available in Adult Tap, Tap, Modern, Street Dance, Adult Dancercise, Junior Ballet and Tap, Musical Theatre, Parent and Toddler Dance and Mini Music and Movement. Examinations are taken in ISTD (Imperial Society for Teachers of Dancing) and IDTA (International Dance Teachers Association).

We have branches in Farnham, Chertsey and Feltham and now offer an Associate teaching qualification class in IDTA, please contact us for further details.

In the Spotlight

Our next show is on Friday 30th March and Saturday 31st March 2012 at Chertsey Halls.
Pupils from all three branches will be participating.
Tickets cost £8.00 and will go on sale in February 2012.

Encore Theatre Arts Summer School 2011

The theme for this year’s summer school was Billy Elliot and as with last year, the children made props, scenery, costumes, programme covers, posters, learnt the script and dances all in one week. It really came together in the end and the final performance was fantastic.

Well done to every child involved, we have been told that the reason children love doing our summer school is because they get to make the costumes etc as well as acting, dancing and singing. We feel it is really important for the children to understand how much effort goes into putting a show together and they really work great as a team all week.

We had a great time and we look forward to next year.
